Known as “Atlanta’s Neighborhood Coffeehouse,” Urban Grind is an ATL coffee shop staple since 2007. Located in the city’s West-Midtown neighborhood, Urban Grind serves specialty coffees, small bites, and pastries. We ventured to Urban Grind for a morning treat and were instantly welcomed by its quaint and cozy interiors. There were people walking in after their morning workout session, walking their dog, and a couple who looked like they were on their first date.
We were just in time for breakfast and enjoyed bagel breakfast sandwiches with eggs, cheese, and turkey sausage. The coffee options did not disappoint. There’s locally roasted coffee, cold brew, and espresso drinks for those who need extra java, like a macchiato (double shot of espresso with a dollop of froth). If you’re feeling fancy, treat yourself to a specialty coffee drink like a white mocha or caramel macchiato latte. There are even delicious drinks like a chai latte and matcha for those who aren’t coffee lovers. We ordered a matcha latte with a shot of CBD, which was delicious, but be prepared because it will set you back about $14.
Urban Grind is all about creating a community of coffee lovers, creatives, and hustlers. They’re all about cultivating an environment that promotes a healthy balance of work and play. By day you can work on your projects and endeavors and at night enjoy poetry events, art exhibits, discussion groups, and more at Urban Grind. This coffee shop prides itself on being a place where you can regroup and recharge while feeling at home.
